Konyat was founded by Left Thu, whose path has taken him through many different fields and experiences. Back in college, he served as a student ambassador, then went on to work as a barista, sushi chef, video editor, cashier, chef, realtor, musician, and later as part of a startup team. Along the way, he also self-taught himself a range of AI tools, applying them to creative projects and problem-solving.

Each role and skill added new perspectives on hard work, adaptability, and the many ways people contribute to their communities.Over time, he recognized the need for a simple, reliable way for people to stay connected and share resources. That idea began as a small personal project; a way to bring people and services together in one place.

Through a mutual connection, he met Kuro, whose technical expertise and shared vision helped turn that idea into Konyat: a growing network built to link businesses, services, and communities in meaningful ways.

At Konyat, our mission is to bridge information gaps and empower communities everywhere by providing accessible, reliable, and comprehensive directory and support services. We believe that easy access to information is essential for community development, economic growth, and meaningful connections. While our roots are in the Burmese community, our vision extends to people of all backgrounds; fostering stronger, more connected neighborhoods locally and globally.

Note: While Konyat’s vision is to serve communities everywhere, we are currently focusing on the New York region as our starting base.
